Stockholm-based lifestyle brand NUDIENT is expanding into the travel space with the launch of its first ever luggage collection.
Founded in 2016 by childhood friends Pontus Krusing, Max Andersson and Vidar Sjöqvist, the brand has become renowned for bringing luxury design and performance everyday essentials and tech accessories. As NUDIENT approaches its tenth anniversary next year, the brand is evolving into bigger and grander creations, while still carrying its core principles of precision functionality and refined, sleek design. nudi
Dubbed the ‘Bold Luggage Collection’, the new travel range is just that – bold in craftsmanship and bold in design. Each piece is made from aerospace-grade German polycarbonate and recycled plastic for lightness and durability, on top of Japanese-engineered Hinomoto XL ball-bearing wheels for a smooth and quiet ride. The collection includes both cabin and check-in suitcases, both compatible with various airline requirements, and both featuring a multitude of compartments for optimal organised travelling.
The design is sleek, driven by traditional Scandinavian minimalism. Each case is monochromatic with distinctive irregular lines, “an abstract reference to the rhythm and structure of a Swedish birch forest”, Pontus Krusing tells us. “It’s basically a blend of calm Scandinavian minimalism and the richness of global travel.”
We spoke to Krusing about the evolving trajectory of NUDIENT, a brand that seeks to refine the everyday, and what it takes to redefine luggage for the modern traveller. He confirms that the brand’s almost seamless evolution stems from a love for travel, reflected in the thoughtful design.
The collection consists of two styles, the ‘Bold Cabin Bag’ and the larger ‘Bold Check-In Bag’, available now in four colourways from nudient.com

Sabrina Soormally: This new collection is a significant departure for NUDIENT, and you’re entering a brand new territory with luggage – can you tell me about the thinking behind this expansion?
Pontus Krusing: Absolutely. NUDIENT has always been about elevating the everyday through design, and travel felt like a natural evolution of that philosophy. We wanted to take the design and precision we’ve refined through our tech accessories and apply it to something larger; movement, exploration, transition. This collection reimagines the travel experience with the same minimalism and functionality we’re known for, but with a new ambition: to be a true companion on your journey.
Can you talk me through your vision behind the aesthetics for the luggage? It’s all very sleek and invokes traditional Scandi minimalism.
The Bold luggage collection continues our visual narrative through the use of distinctive, irregular lines. An abstract reference to the rhythm and structure of a Swedish birch forest. While rooted in Scandinavian minimalism, the design is also shaped by our experiences from around the world. It’s basically a blend of calm Scandinavian minimalism and the richness of global travel.
What do you hope to bring to the world of travel through NUDIENT luggage?
Our goal is to redefine what a luggage for a modern traveler looks like – through design that intuitively supports your journey. We’ve thought through the friction points: packing, navigating airports, and flying with various airlines. NUDIENT luggage isn’t just about where you’re going, but how you get there – and how you feel along the way. It’s about creating a more fluid, more beautiful travel experience.
Do you enjoy the process of travelling?
Very much so. There’s something meditative about the rhythm of travel. The way it forces you into the present moment. It’s not just about the destination; it’s about the shift in perspective, the stillness in movement. I find inspiration in airports, in watching people, in seeing how others move through the world.
What do you like to do on a flight?
I try to treat flights as a pause button. It’s often the only time I’m fully offline, so I use it to reset – either by journaling, reading something I’ve put off for too long, listening to full albums (rather than a playlist), or just staring out the window. I love the sense of being suspended between places – it’s creatively liberating.
You’ve ensured smart, organised travelling with multiple compartments within the luggage, What’s in your travel bag?
Always the essentials: laptop, slim notebook, AirPods Max (and AirPods Pro), nourishing hand balm, and one good book. I also carry a small pouch with chargers and cables.
What’s on the horizon for NUDIENT now?
We’re just getting started. Our ambition is to continue building a universe around modern travel – products that travel with you through work, rest, and adventure. You’ll see more innovations that expand on this philosophy. The journey is very much in motion.
