QD-OLED/ultra-fast response speed glare-free minimizes light reflection and enhances color expression with Pantone certification

Samsung Electronics announced on the 11th that it will launch a new model of ‘Odyssey OLED G6 (G60SF), an organic light emitting diode (OLED) gaming monitor that supports an ultra-high scan rate of 500 ㎐ for the first time in the world.
Odyssey OLED G6 supports QHD (2560×1440) resolution, maximum brightness 1000 nits, and HDR10+ gaming on 27 type QD-OLED panels.
In a high-performance game environment where fast screen transition is essential, immersive games can be played without interruption with an ultra-high scan rate of 500 images per second and a response speed of up to 0.03 ms (based on GTG).
In the new product, OLED Safeguard+, which minimizes light reflection and prevents burn-in with OLED Glare Free technology that reduces gloss, is also applied. It supports both AMD Pre-Sync Premium Pro and Nvidia G-Sync compatibility to implement smooth screen transitions.
It is the first gaming monitor to receive Pantone color certification and Pantone skin tone certification, which also has accurate color reproducibility.
Features for user convenience have also been enhanced. It supports two HDMI 2.1 ports, a display port 1.4, a USB hub, and even a VESA wall mount, as well as a stand that can rotate up and down, horizontally, vertically, and left.
“We have launched the world’s first OLED gaming monitor with a 500Hz ultra-high scanning rate,” said Jeong Hoon, vice president of Samsung Electronics’ video display business. “We will continue to provide the best immersion experience to global gamers through display innovation.”
Since its first launch of OLED monitors in 2022, Samsung Electronics has achieved No. 1 ranking in the global OLED monitor market for two consecutive years. It has maintained its No. 1 position in the overall gaming monitor market for six consecutive years since 2019.
‘Odyssey OLED G6’ will be released sequentially in the global market starting from Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Thailand from the 12th.
