In this quiz, you have to name every player who has featured alongside Rohit Sharma in Test cricket.
Rohit recently called time on his Test career, which spanned over 12 years. On his debut in 2013, he scored 177 runs – the second-highest by an Indian on Test debut. However, his 67-match career was a topsy-turvy one, neatly divided into two halves. Until 2019, he was largely inconsistent and frequently in and out of the side. His Test career revived after he was promoted to open the innings against South Africa in 2019.
Compared to his overall Test career tally of 4,301 runs at an average of 40.57, Rohit thrived as an opener, scoring 2,552 runs at 50.03 until the start of the home Bangladesh series last year. Since then, however, he managed just 145 runs in 12 innings before dropping himself from the Border-Gavaskar Trophy midway through the series. Rohit ended his career as India’s highest run-getter in the World Test Championship.

Rohit Sharma won 12 of his 24 matches as Test captain, giving him the second-best win percentage among Indian skippers after Virat Kohli. Under his leadership, India reached the 2021-23 World Test Championship (WTC) final but lost to Australia. However, the biggest blemish on his captaincy remains the 3-0 whitewash against New Zealand, India’s first home Test series defeat in 12 years.
