Ever wanted to stay a night in a hotel room that was more than a deposit on a house? Well this is what it looks like. Welcome to Atlantis The Royal, placed on the manmade outer ring of the palm outcropping into the beautiful waters of the Persian Gulf. You can’t get a more premium location than this.
It’s whispered that when this hotel opened in 2023 it’s private party which included the likes of Kendall Jenner, Rebel Wilson and Ellen Pompeo being crooned to by Beyoncé culminated itself into the most expensive private party in history. Beyoncé doesn’t come cheap. In fact they say she was payed $24 million an hour to attend. It brought her out of a 5 year hibernation, and she was accompanied by a 48 person orchestra. This is how the 0.1% amuse themselves.
The crown jewel of The Royal would of course be The Royal Mansion on the top floor where Beyoncé later crashed. It really is a mansion, to say it’s a penthouse sounds somehow dismissive. It’s made of a sprawling 12,100-sq-ft floor space, two floors, four bedrooms, an infinity pool, private bar and private foyer that has an olive tree that’s over 100 years old. To stay the night you’re looking at a cool $100,000. Just whatever you do, don’t get the snacks out the bar fridge, they’re always a trap. Probably $20 for a can of coke.
Privacy is key in this venue. You have private use of hotel amenities, your own elevator, foyer, and door into the hotel. Your interaction with the plebs that pay for $50,000 rooms will be virtually zero. Of course you also get your own chef, butler, and dedicated concierge. You aren’t paying for a room, you’re paying for a warm wrapping of care for your every need. Speaking of wrappings. The linen is made by Frette, and can easily fetch over $5,000. Every room can be controlled via an app that controls the TV, thermostat, and lighting remotely.
The chefs can be requested from any of the resorts celebrity venues, so you have your pick of food and expertise. The dining room itself is long and seats 12 with floor to ceiling windows at one end. Retire afterwards to the double height bar where your private bartender can make you whatever you desire.
After an evening of high power meetings the outdoor terrace provide an incredible vantage point of the city to unwind. The Royal Mansion (which has reportedly been attended by royalty) sits on the 18th and 19th floor, and has 360 degree views.
If you are truly done fraternising for the night you can retire to the triple height library, which provides a secluded space to relax or work. Otherwise hang out in the entertainment room with it’s 98 inch LED TV.
Amenities include bespoke gold toothbrushes, combs and brushes. I’m sure you don’t need to share em.
