Two new businesses, one focused on fun and one on fitness, are coming to Sangertown Square in New Hartford, the mall announced May 12.
Fun Nation, an entertainment park will open later this year and Crunch Fitness will open in early 2026.
The news comes shortly PiNZ, a bowling alley/arcade/bar/restaurant, announced its closure. The mall had sued PiNZ to court seeking $2.05 million in rent, fees and penalties, and later terminated its lease.
About the new businesses
Fun Nation will offer a variety of indoor activities, including trampolines, dodgeball courts, basketball, climbing walls, a ninja warrior course, arcade games, a virtual reality arena and a toddler play area.
Crunch Fitness will offer state-of-the-art equipment, group fitness classes and personal training, according to mall officials.
It has hundreds of locations across the U.S. — with the closest in Dewitt and Cicero —as well as gyms in five other countries. Its website says it was created as a “no judgment” gym based on positivity, inclusivity and fun.
“We are thrilled to welcome both Fun Nation and Crunch Fitness to Sangertown Square,” said Maria Ackerman, the mall’s marketing coordinator in a statement. “These new additions reflect our vision of creating a vibrant destination that brings together shopping, entertainment and health-focused experiences for the whole community.”
The mall is managed by Pyramid Management Group, LLC.
The openings are good news for a mall that’s faced some bad news this year — including the closure of and case against PiNZ and a shooting on March 1 in which one man was injured.
Fun Nation will offer a range of admission packages lasting from one hour to a full day as well as packages for birthday parties and group events.
Crunch Fitness offers three tiers of memberships, currently listed for $29.99 a month, $26.99 a month and $15.99 a month or $9.99 a month with a 12-month commitment, according to its website.
